FC Arle was established in 1990 by a group of friends who wanted a little more than just a 'kick-about' in the park. The club, then called Arle Avengers was sponsored by Westgate Furnishings who provided kits, helped with training costs and offered many other benefits such as trips. The team involved youngsters ranging from the age of around 12 to 20 year olds who played friendlies from time to time and got together every weekend to train.
